Volunteer Opportunities

Snowbird Volunteer

Are you thinking that you would like to help out with the Destin Snowbirds in some way?

Perhaps you don't know exactly what you would like to do or what types of things are available--or how much of your time would be required?

When you come to the Roost to register next season, fill out the back of your registration card and check “Yes, I would like to volunteer”. This is not a commitment, but a notice of your interest and a request for information. Dean maintains a list of opportunities to volunteer for and he can link you up with a committee chairperson to work with.

There could be things like helping with golf tournaments, selling tickets for events and activities, distributing prizes at meetings, greeting your fellow Snowbirds as they arrive at the Roost, and many other opportunities to help.

You may have a new activity you would like to propose, organize and lead. You may even wish to consider a Board of Directors position when one becomes available.

We hope you'll consider being a volunteer.

Prize Committee Volunteers

In the spirit of “many hands make light work”, we are looking for volunteers to assist with Prize Committee activities for next season.

Some of those activities include:

Canvassing vendors in Destin beginning in November.
Helping to organize prizes to be given away throughout the season.
Delivering thank you certificates to vendors.
Organizing prizes for the three meetings before Christmas
Helping with coffee and donuts at the opening of the Roost Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
Announcing prizes and/or distributing prizes at Snowbird meetings
