FEBRUARY 27, 2024
Dear Destin Snowbirds
Our time on the Emerald Coast has come to a close for another year; however, our memories of the 2023-24 season will linger until we meet again in December. Remember, while you’re away, you can keep in touch by Googling the Destin Snowbirds Facebook page and our website, thedestinsnowbirds.com.
Over the past three months, we have had weekly meetings with entertainment, door prizes, and 50/50 raffles, a craft show, casino trips, a Valentine’s Day Dance, the Women's Luncheon, harbor cruises, T.G.I.T. dance parties, golf outings, golf tournaments, a volunteer appreciation party, vendor information and food samples, special weekly activities, and most importantly, very happy snowbirds.
Hats off to our Board of Directors who stepped up to make our time in Destin so special. We say good-bye and thank you to our president, Ken Campbell, and his wife, Kathy, for shepherding our organization this year, and a special welcome aboard to incoming president, Jerry Reckman and his wife, Flo. Without a doubt, Jerry’s leadership skills will be invaluable as he guides the Board in planning for next year.
Destin will miss the energy and excitement of the snowbirds, (and our economic impact on the region) as we begin our annual migration back north. Safe travels to each and everyone and remember, “Who has more fun than Snowbirds?” —-- NOBODY !
See ya’ll next season!
Regards, your Board of Directors
