In 1962, when Ted first rode over the East Pass Bridge (William T. Marler Bridge) into Destin, he was so taken by the beauty of the white sand and the emerald-colored water, he told his aunt that he wanted to live in Destin someday, maybe when he retired. After visiting Destin for years, Ted’s dream came true in 2018 when he and his wife, Andrea, built their retirement home on property on Calhoun Avenue that once belonged to his aunt. Since then, Andrea and Ted have been enjoying the wonderful weather, beaches and all that the Destin area has to offer. Besides enjoying visits from their children and grandchildren, they enjoy volunteering, traveling, entertaining friends and the time they spend in various local, state and national organizations.
Andrea and Ted have been members of the Destin Snowbirds since 2016 and Ted served as President in 2019-2020.
